Description: Program was launched in 2015 to provide unrestricted grant support to community change agents working to catalyze economic opportunities for underserved communities across the United States. In 2021, the foundation committed an additional $25 million in a third iteration of the program in support of local community organizations that are advancing racial equity by breaking down silos and connecting Black, Indigenous, and people of color (BIPOC) to greater social and economic opportunity across the United States. Priority will be given to organizations that support the BIPOC community through the following focus areas: affordable housing and access, environmental sustainability, economic development, financial health and wellness, social justice, workforce readiness, and family-sustaining employment. Award: Unrestricted grant support of $500,000 over two years as well as have access to technical assistance from national experts and an opportunity to participate in a learning community with fellow program participants
Eligibility: Applicants must be tax exempt under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code, have a federal employer identification number, and be located and working in Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, the San Francisco Bay Area, or Washington, D.C.
