Description: The Bogliasco Foundation supports the arts and humanities by providing residential Fellowships at its study center in Italy’s most vibrant, historic crossroads, where gifted artists and scholars of all cultures come together to connect, create and disseminate significant new work. Applicants may also apply for Special Fellowships, such as the Virginia Howard Fellowship or the Van Cleef & Arpels Fellowship in Landscape Architecture, which include additional support.

Award: 32- or 33-day fellowship includes room and board and a separate workspace but does not cover travel costs.

Eligibility: The Bogliasco Foundation accepts applications from those doing both creative and scholarly work in the following fields: Archaeology, Architecture, Classics, Dance, Film/Video, History, Landscape Architecture, Literature, Music, Philosophy, Theater, and Visual Arts – without regard to nationality, age, race, or gender. Applicants should demonstrate significant achievement in their disciplines, commensurate with their age and experience. Students who are enrolled in a degree-granting program at the time of the application are not eligible. Fellows must be able to speak English.
